Zander went to uni in Townsville and Zandri was studying in Adelaide. In 2020, they both graduated, and it was around Christmas time of that year, that Zander came back into Zandri’s life when she least expected it. Zander was visiting his family in Adelaide for Christmas, but Zandri couldn’t stop thinking of his parents as she was getting ready for church. And guess who she walked into that morning at church? The Engelbrechts! She was so excited to see them that she didn’t even pay Zander any attention (oops)!

But Zander did notice her and quickly reached out to her on social media after church. He made a joke about how their names are similar and about how confusing it would become for their families. She thought his joke was a little forward. Did he just unintentionally tell her he was thinking of dating her? Well, the next day, he asked her out for coffee! And the rest is history…
